Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can I make healthy drinks with the Slushi?

Yes you can! You can blend your own fruits and control the amount of sugar going into your slush frozen drink.

Just note that to have the perfect slush texture, the drinks need at least 5% of sugar (5g per 100ml). You may also use artificial/natural sweetener or natural sugar, e.g. honey, maple syrup to replace the sugars needed.

How do I clean the machine?

Slushi is easy to clean and maintain. Follow the simple 7 steps cleaning method after every use.

1. Dispense any remaining frozen drink. And stop the current present.
2. Add clean water and start Rinse Cycle
3. Unlock bail handle and remove vessel
4. Slide auger, condensation catch, and drip tray out of the unit
5. Wipe down the unit, around and underneath the evaporator with a warm, damp cloth
6. Hand wash the different parts, or use a dishwasher
7. Allow all parts to dry thoroughly before reassembling

How long does it take to slush the drinks?

Creating drinks can take up to 15–60 minutes depending on ingredients, volume, and starting temperature.

Can I refill in the middle of party?

Yes, you can top up the drink and let the machine continue slushing. Allow it to have time to slush again.

When ready, machine will beep and temperature lights will turn from blinking to fixed.

You are able to keep up to 12 hours of runtime for frozen drinks on tap.

Ingredients not slushing?

If your recipe has not reached the desired texture after 60 minutes, increase the temperature one level.

Wait 10–15 minutes to test the recipe. If the texture still isn't what you desire, increase temperature by one level again. Repeat until
desired texture is achieved.

Slush not dispensing?

For the best dispensing experience, fill the unit to the max fill line and ensure the unit is running. For a smoother dispense experience, decrease the temperature level by pressing the bottom arrow on the control panel. More sippable frozen drinks will dispense smoother.

Why did my machine stop halfway while slushing?

If the sugar content of the input is too low, or the alcohol content is not within the suggested limits, the machine will detect it and provide an alert and may stop turning. Temperature Control LEDs will flash one at a time in descending order starting with the top LED, preset LEDS will flash, and the unit will beep every minute for 15 minutes.

What kind of beverages can I make?

The machine comes with 5 preset functions for easy usage. They are Slush, Frozen Cocktail, Frappe, Milkshake and Frozen fruit juice.

But in reality, it is up to your imagination to create any frozen beverages you want.

How long does Ninja Slushi take to make a slushie?

Usually a few minutes when the insert is fully frozen and the drink starts cold. Time varies with sugar content, starting temperature, and room heat. For the fastest results, pre-chill your drink in the fridge first.

Which drinks work best in Ninja Slushi?

Chilled juice, soda, sports drinks, flavoured milk, and mocktails with moderate sugar. Low-sugar or diet drinks can take longer—add a little fruit juice or syrup for better crystallisation.

Can I use carbonated drinks?

Yes—let the fizz settle slightly before pouring and avoid overfilling to prevent foaming. Gently agitate rather than shaking.

Can Ninja Slushi make alcoholic slushies?

Yes with low-to-moderate ABV mixes. High alcohol content slows freezing; keep ABV modest (e.g., a wine spritzer or cocktail base diluted with juice/syrup) for best texture.

Why isn’t my drink freezing?

Common reasons: insert not fully frozen, drink too warm, very low sugar content, or a hot/humid room. Re-freeze the insert fully, pre-chill the drink, and add a touch of juice/syrup.

Can I make dairy or smoothie-style slush?

Yes—use cold flavoured milk, chocolate milk, or fruit purée plus juice. Thicker mixes may need a little extra liquid to start ice crystal formation.

How much can I make at once?

Use the max fill line on your cup. Overfilling slows freezing and can cause overflow.

Can I add fresh fruit pieces?

Use small pieces or purée first. Large chunks reduce contact with the freezing surface and slow crystallisation.

Does it create a mess or drips?

If filled to the line and stirred gently, drips are minimal. Always leave headroom for expansion as ice crystals form.

How do I get a softer vs. firmer slush?

For softer, stop earlier or add a splash of liquid. For firmer, agitate longer and ensure the insert is fully frozen.
